Did you ever want to receive ur gmail-inbox on your mobile inbox as free SMS ? Yes now, even you are on move, you will receive your emails on your mobile as SMS for free. Here is a way... Although there are so many services available which provides your email for free what we are going to discuss is getting things done via feed.We will convert our emails into feed and than we will send those feeds via sms through Google SMS channel. The email2feed service is provided by http://www.mailbucket.org It is really easy to create an account here but many people don't know how to create an account.All you have to do is to choose a unique and complicated name(your mailbucked id) so that is could not be hacked easily and your email will be safe from praying eyes. EX:techinstall (better option is complicated name like "azp0me1y5").Type this address in address bar to check the availability of your id http://www.mailbucket.org/techinstall.xml If there is no messege available there it means that the id is available for you.Great! Now login into your Gmail account there >go to settings >go to forwarding pop email option (last one). >Now type your userid to forward your email to your mailbucket account. EX:techinstall@mailbucket.org Keep the copy of your email in the inbox Now again go to your mailbucket url EX:http://mailbucket.org/techinstall.xml Subscribe here. Now go to Google SMS channel at http://labs.google.co.in.Create your account here by entering your mobile number if you haven't done it yet. Now click on "try now" radio button on right hand side of the page under "Create your own channel" option. Now select an appropriate name for your channel EX:mygmailac. The above two tricks are mean for only Indian Users as Google SMS Channel is open only for Indian mobile users. But, this trick is for everyone : Using Twitter. (UK?). Just Create a new Twitter account and set the status of updates as “Protected” (hence, updates don’t appear in a public timeline). Now subscribe to your Gmail Atom feed using FeedBlitz and become mutual friends and ON the device updates.
The limitation of this trick : Twitter sends just 250 alerts per week and hence, you are limited to this. Moreover, Twitter is n’t faithful for device updates too. But, this way seems to be most secured, as none can read your mails. If you want to get alerts for some specific emails only, then add a filter/label and opt for the feeds of only that label.
